LEXINGTON, S.C. – 46-year-old David Onley of South Carolina has been sentenced to 25 years in prison after a felony DUI charge which killed a teenager.

Police records show that Onley had six previous DUI convictions. He was filed guilty of felony DUI in the wreck that took place last December killing a teenager, Jonathon Lee Humphrey. Details of the accident show that Onley was driving a pickup truck at 85 mph in a 35 mph zone when he crashed.

Police reports also show that Onley had a blood alcohol concentration of .20 percent at the time of the crash, which was more than two times the legal limit of .08 percent to operate a vehicle in South Carolina.

His previous six DUI convictions are from South Carolina and Florida. He also has convictions for driving under suspension.

Onley was sentenced Thursday to 25 years in prison.
